Jump & Climb is therapy disguised as play!

If you’re looking for a fun, confidence building, stress relieving  activity you’ve come to the right place! At Jump&Climb, we welcome kids & adults with disabilities to come along and give Jumping or Climbing a go! Jumping on a trampoline provides physical benefits such as relieving stress , increasing muscle tone, balance and coordination, as well as wellbeing benefits such as increased confidence due to the un-structured nature and low difficulty, making it ideal for everyone. Jumping is also an excellent form of stress relief  for kids with autism. Because communication is often limited, those with autism are unable to express their stress or anxiety in the same way people without autism would. Jumping on a trampoline helps individuals with autism to control their anxiety and to relieve the build-up of stress.

Rock climbing can also be an excellent activity for children or adults with physical or mental disabilities for a number of reasons. It has been shown to increase special perception, hand-eye coordination and balance. It also teaches goal setting, communication, problem solving, planning and helps children that need to overcome gross and fine motor difficulties. what can be better than giving them the opportunity to be part of a team, build friendships and develop their leadership skills in a sport that everyone can do.

All participants need to be able to follow verbal directions and instructions and are able to use the equipment on there own. It is a safety requirement that you cannot jump with children or any participants in your arms.
